Looking Good vs. Being Good

Abigail has a bib that says "Looking Good is Better Than Being Good." It got me thinking! So, is looking good better than being good? Well, a good Christian answer of course would be no way! But think about it? Would you rather look good, than be good? Do you spend more time looking good or being good? How long do you spend on your appearance vs. how long did you spend in the Word of God and in prayer.

Ask yourself this question,
Are your actions following what you desire?

Light Up The World!

Jesus said in John 8:12 (The Message), "I am the world's Light. No one who follows me stumbles around in the darkness. I provide plenty of light to live in." Why do we sometimes choose to stumble around in darkness, when we can walk in the light of Christ? Sometimes it feels easier to be in darkness. In the darkness we don't have to see ourselves for who we really are. We can cry, have a little pity party, and say how everything is not our fault. But in the light; we can see our deficiencies, that we need to repent, and we need to get closer to Christ (who provides our light). Jesus said in Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world."
This week make a choice to get closer to Christ. Be transparent with Him, repent of your sins, and allow His light to shine through you. Only then can we truly become the light of the world!
